The Compound will be available for all athletes between the ages of 6-16. The Purpose of The Compound is to use many styles of strength training and help athletes from all sports get bigger, faster and stronger. No matter what sport your child participates in, strength training will give them the edge over the competition. The focus of the workouts will be to create a better athlete with more strength, power, agility, and functional athleticism. We hope to have everything ready very soon. My Name is Bill Bassett and I am the owner/trainer at The Compound. I am an ISSA Certified Youth Fitness Trainer. I am a teacher with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and Masters Degree in Education. I have been coaching, training and working with youth athletes for over 15 years. I am the Head Wrestling Coach at Ranger Pride Wrestling and help coach at Young Guns Wrestling. My goal is to develop and help each athlete in our area reach their maximum potential. Strength is the difference in being Good or being Great!

Youth Functional Strength Training: 

When we talk about Youth Training most people think of speed and agility. Contrarily there is a much greater range of benefits that can be obtained when training our youth to make them more effective overall athletes and more successful as they grow and mature. Give your child every opportunity to excel in the sports that they choose to participate in by taking advantage of our program. We will make your child better prepared both mentally and physically to achieve their fullest potential!

The Compound Youth Training Program works with athletes from age 6 – college age. We build our programs to be age appropriate to make sure that our clients are trained with proper progressions of technique, rigor, intensity, and difficulty. 

Specifically in relationship to developing an athlete we would address but not limit the program to the following areas: Hand eye coordination, balance, mental toughness, reaction time, speed, agility, quickness, core strength, stability, explosion, bilateral and unilateral movements, body control, functional strength, flexibility, muscular endurance, dynamic movements, and cardiovascular endurance
