One on One training/coaching

imageIf your goal is to lose weight and to improve your conditioning, Kurt has a program for you.  Through individualized assessment, personalized programming and education, you will be able to navigate your way through most any gym in just a few weeks.  Familiarity with safe and proper exercise technique is stressed while a program is formulated.

Kurt will test and assess your current condition and design a training program to accommodate you.  Basic nutritional guidance will be offered.   Personal goals, both short and long term, will be set.  Your training sessions will methodically work towards your goals in a prudent, efficient manner.  Results are guaranteed provided you prescribe to the planned program.


Small Group Training

imageThis class is limited to 4 participants to ensure the most personal attention possible from the trainer. The certified personal trainer   will incorporate fat burning cardio with fun muscle toning resistance exercises.   Great for beginners to intermediate fitness levels since each exercise is   customize to each group.


Aqua Fitness (limited to weather)

Aqua Tone is aquatic resistance training using a variety of equipment to progressively overload major muscle groups and promote strength training. Proper body form and alignment is taught and reinforced at all times. Although there is an initial warm up with movement, exercises are mostly stationary and focused on resistance training rather than cardiovascular training.

This provides for joint protection as well as greater resistance provided by the water.  This aquatic strength training is especially good for those who wish to increase strength while avoiding the risks of high-impact exercises.


Senior Fitness (Active Aging) Training

Active Aging is a training program for adults 55 and over and promotes the benefits of an active, healthy lifestyle.  It provides the potential of taking on new challenges, as well as helping to expand your knowledge and skill base as it pertains to all aspects of fitness.  

With special guidance from a Professional Personal Trainer, individuals have the opportunity to safely step outside their comfort zone and challenge their mental and physical health.  By staying active through a structured training program, regular and consistent exercise can pay big dividends on overall health and longevity.

The Active Aging training program is held in groups of 2 to 8 adults and led by a professional trainer.  Here's
what you can expect on training days:

Active Aging Training 

This is a 2 day/week training program.  We offer the program 4 days throughout the week.  You choose any 2 days that fit your schedule.

Endurance Activities
Endurance exercise builds "staying power" and improves heart and circulatory health.  We do this through functional activities, not machines, for increased balance awareness.

Strength Activities
Strength exercises help build muscle tissue and reduces age-related muscle loss.  The stronger you are the easier, and safer, it is to manage all the things life throws at us; like snow on the porch steps, weeds in the garden and ever growing grandchildren.

Joint Mobility and Flexibility Exercises
We have different types of joints in our body.  Certain joints should be mobile and others stable.  As we get older, our mobile joints become less mobile and our stable become less stable.  Add in muscles that naturally want to get tighter and we have a recipe for increased joint and muscular pain.  Mobility and flexibility exercises help keep our joints in harmony with one another.  

Balance Activities
Balance exercises help reduce the risk of falls leading to broken bones and promotes nervous system/muscular system coordination for improved function.


Fitness Assessment

imageFitness Assessments are a great starting point for a person to determine your baseline, where you are now in the broader scheme of their exercise planning.  Our comprehensive fitness assessment will measure the following critea and provide you with a detailed portfolio of your results:

  • Resting Heart Rate
  • Body Mass Index (BMI)
  • Body Fat Analysis
  • Aerobic Fitness
  • Muscular Endurance, Strength and Flexibility
  • Blood Pressure and Oxygen Saturation

By joining our outdoor fitness club, you'll escape the gym and make friends with like-minded women, who stick together and support each other, rain or shine.

Kid's Get Fit Bootcamp

 

Our kid's Get Fit Bootcamp has an emphasis on all things meant to inspire, educate and motivate children to want to begin to take control of their health at an early age. Most importantly this "boot camp" is meant to be a place where exercise and nutrition are promoted in a fun, non-threatening, non-competitive environment.

With that in mind, we strive to have a bootcamp that educates and trains kids to be fit, enjoy exercise and enjoy the outdoors!
